๐งฑ PROJECT BACKGROUND
In a world in constant technological evolution, the Diputaciรณn Foral de Bizkaia faces the challenge of modernizing and optimizing its 2020 Income program. With the growing demand for efficient digital services from taxpayers, the need arises to adapt and improve existing processesย to provide a more agile and satisfying experience.
The updated project faces challenges in integrating new technologies securely, ensuring usability, and addressing user accessibility.

- Market research and analysis of competitors

๐ LET'S START WITH THE PROCESS
DEFINE HOW THE PRODUCT WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL
RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
ยกWe start with data search!
We start snooping around ๐ถ the market (BENCHMARK) and talking to people to understand (USER RESEARCH) what our users really need and how they behave in some of the program processes.
We want to know what makes them happy and their pain points, so we jump right into the investigation creating surveys about the different sections and analysing their results in order to get off to a good start!

INTERFACE DESIGN AND USER EXPERIENCE
Once we have all those ideas and data in our heads, itโs time to get creative!
We started to make wireframes of the main pages templates of the application.
Each wireframes were checked and adjusted ๐ in an iterative process until we get the desired point.

FOCUSED ON CREATING AN INNOVATIVE AND USER-CENTRIC DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
Our strategy emphasizes iteration and collaboration, utilizing detailed roadmaps ๐บ for display delivery prioritization.
Screens pass continuous review ๐ง๐ง before development, ensuring progress and alignment with project goals and the tech department focusing on user experience and accessibility.
Our goal is to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces accessible to all. Prioritizing user experience enhances satisfaction and drives engagement, retention, and conversion. ๐งฒ
INTERFACE DESIGN AND USER EXPERIENCE
Once we have all those ideas and data in our heads, itโs time to get creative!
We started to make mockup designs of the main pages templates based on the UI Kit designed.
Each mockup were checked and adjusted in an iterative process ๐ until we get the desired point ๐จ. Here just some examples of all the studies and designs made.
COMPONENTS AND DESIGN OF THE MAIN TEMPLATES
At this stage we get into the design of the main screens based on the wireframes that we made. This is where magic really comes to life ๐ง.
The target at this point is create a SOLID UI KIT COMPONENTS DESIGN for the main screens to share with the DEVELOP TEAM.
These screens not only have the duty to look attractive, they also have to be intuitive and efficient for users.






๐ฑ MOBILE APP
We also designed and developed a mobile application for data consultation.
We want to ensure a fast and smooth experience through the most relevant user data.
Thanks to this APP users are able to consult some of their most important data before starting with the tax return.

๐ง CONCLUSION
Once the Tax Campaign 2020 and the promotion in different media, it is time to see how all these changes works on different users ๐ค.
The first few months the application received criticism because it was a very different application to the one that was being used for a long time.
It was something that all the teams already had in mind, but we kept betting on what we had created and we knew that it would works very well, and so.
What was previously critical in a few months later became congratulations and positive messages ๐๐.
๐ BENEFITS & KEY LEARNINGS
- Investing in additional research is consistently beneficial
- Ensure client participation in both moderate and critical matters. Address minor issues after resolving significant ones efficiently
- Collaboration with Devs during the whole process gives great results and saves tons of time
- The importance of focusing on user experience always gives the best results
- It is vital not only to involve users but also people specialized in the product to avoid useless results and critical problems
Currently, the system is still used, making easier the work of users and product owners, and helping to reduce the number of declarations checked.
